Holiday Row paints a mirage for trouble to run to - a vicarious world that’s all beauty and nostalgia… without connection.
The original demo started out as a playful throw to Lindsey Buckingham’s Holiday Road. What developed is something else entirely - there’s a dreampop shimmer to the synths, an insistent beatbox rhythm and a melodically lush West Coast feel. New Order-esque guitar lines float by on a merry-go-round of horns - opening the escape hatch on reflection and doubt...for a while.
Holiday Row features Tim Kevin on lead vocals, alongside a horn section comprising members of emerging young jazz outfit Mosaic.
The track was engineered and produced by Tim Kevin and Hoolahan at Tempe River Studios, and mixed by long-time collaborator Wayne Connolly.
Artwork is designed by Cameron Emerson-Elliott featuring the work of Canadian artist and natural ink maker Jason Logan.
Holiday Row is released digitally on August 7th.
